Level 2 Certificate in Creative Techniques Course will run every Wednesday 10.00am - 3.00pm, for 3 terms. October 2024- July 2025 This fantastic course covers the vital elements of art, colour, line, shape, form, value, texture, space, and guides the learner through the processes of experimentation and planning, to enable the production and display of finished art works. Students will explore the use of a sketchbook to record and evaluate their experimentation. We will provide a wide range of art materials, which will encourage different approaches to practice. With specialist technical workshops coupled with lectures from our tutors, the learner will gain a solid introduction to Fine Art and Mixed Media practice. Supported by regular tutorials and studio discussion, learners are encouraged to engage in the research of historical and contemporary practice to help inform and develop their own creativity. At South West Art Courses, we keep group size small at a maximum of 8 learners. This ensures a high degree of teacher contact time while enabling enough participants for engaging group discussion. Our intensive 10 month course, offers excellent value for money at £3950. For this you will receive 165 hours of face to face tuition. Also included are: the majority of the materials, additional studio sessions, access to the members area of the website with class notes and tasks, and the City and Guilds registration and assessment. Parking Please note there is no parking directly at the venue. There is on-road parking in the road opposite or in The Avenue where there is a walk way to the studios. Coldharbour pay and display carpark is a short walk. Disabled Parking We have 2 disabled parking bays for blue badge holders directly outside the door to the studios that may be reserved in advance.
