Gelliprinting and dragon/explosion book

Come and join us for this fun Gelliprinting and dragon/explosion book workshop suitable for all levels including beginners. Printing from a gel print is an immediate and fun way to produce prints. You will creatively find and use textured objects and stencils to create variety in your prints. In the afternoon you will use some of the prints to make an explosion book, which is a beautiful object to handle and a fine way to display your prints. You will learn: The difference between a hand-pulled and a commercially produced print and about the different types of printmaking. How to create textures with every day and found objects and cut and use stencils on a gel plate. To explore how different colours react in layers. To use magazine photo transfer How to accurately measure the paper, fold and assemble an explosion book. How to keep the workspace safe from potential hazards and know how to use a craft knife safely Refreshments and all workshop materials provided. Please bring a packed lunch. Parking Please note there is no parking directly at the venue. There is on-road parking in the road opposite or in The Avenue where there is a walk way to the studios. Coldharbour pay and display carpark is a short walk. Disabled Parking We have 2 disabled parking bays for blue badge holders directly outside the door to the studios that may be reserved in advance.
